Medini Live!
A uniquely curated event with something for every taste, Medini Live! 2016 is back and set to be an experience to remember for both the young and young-at-heart! Taking place in the thriving new township of Medini in Iskandar Puteri, the event will be held at the Mall of Medini on August 27 and 28, 2016. It will feature an eclectic mix of entertaining performances as well as educational workshops, an artisan & community bazaar, with a total of more than 50 acts and activities over the two-day period.

Presented by Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“MIM”), Medini Live! brings together a specially-curated series of activities based on four segments, namely film, arts, music and community. MIM is committed to support creative endeavours as this is also aligned with one of its promoted sectors, namely the creative sector. To organize this annual event in a new urban township like Medini will bring vibrancy to the development, where this event showcases local talents in a multicultural fusion of traditional and modern elements.
Najwa Mahiaddin
Fans will not want to miss thrilling performances by internationally-renowned artists including international hip hop extraordinaire Joe Flizzow, versatile and dynamic R&B trombonist Q Sound, world-class homegrown beatboxer Shazet, and the international award winning Malaysian team drumline, Batteryheadz. Popular jazz, soul and pop performers and musicians such as Sean Ghazi, Ida Mariana, Najwa Mahiaddin, Mafarikha, Az Samad, Kirsten and Kevin Theseira, Liza Hanim, Ronnie Hussein as well as YouTube sensation Eb Duet will also be at Medini Live! An exclusive drumline battle between invitedschools and colleges will also be held.

Besides music, visitors interested in the arts should check out the various exhibitions and workshops, offering plenty for kids to do such as a pop-up book workshop, a unique new library concept exhibition by SK Medini, sand art, giant bubbles, not to mention the chance to learn and play traditional games such as congkak and batu seremban. As part of the ‘Merdeka & Malaysia Day’ celebration, a special doodle wall will be on display featuring drawings by Johor doodle artists, complete with a session on doodling for the public. At this free-entry event, members of the public can also expect to see a few social enterprise projects on display, including food trucks to satisfy cravings as well as artisan and community bazaars.
