The soft launch of The Final Whistle was held on the 23 of May 2014. Soft launch are meant to help the proprietor iron out any issues that might affect service. It went well despite being a Soft launch.
We were treated by a barrage of free flow Asahi. It tasted really fresh and smooth. The proprietor- Christian Woods was generous with offering free flow Asahi which is normally sold at a premium.
Entertainment at the bar consists of a darts board, 12 HD TVs as well as 3 rentable virtual golf simulators. The tv allows for all kind of games to shown in parallel to the patrons according to their requests. Christian mentioned that during the 2014 world cup in June. The final whistle will be open to Patrons in the early mornings, for them to watch their favourite players battle it out.
The bar and the crowd has a nice feel to it. There’s a little European feel. As the patrons who were mainly westerners felt really at home.
The founder of the final whistle is Christian Woods who had left he’s home town of Nuneaton, he moved to Malaysia on a whim, selling everything he owned to start a new life. He started Across The Road a little over a year ago and now that it’s comfortably established Christian, ever the risk taker, felt it was time for a new challenge.

The Final Whistle is kind of hard to find. It’s actually located within the City Golf Shop on the Fourth Floor of the Bangsar Shopping Center. When we try to look at the map provided by BSC we couldn’t find the bar. Hopefully after this, more signages would be found.
