Bangsar’s urban tropical hideaway, WIP is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a refreshed look and new menu offerings. Having undergone a facelift in phases since December 2017, WIP is ready and ‘whipped into place’, featuring a vibrant new interior whilst retaining the casual, relaxed vibe it’s known for.
True to its persona, WIP hosted a mix of its loyal patrons, friends and media for its 10th Anniversary cum relaunch event for a casual celebration of the different elements that make WIP. Business partners with brands such as Heineken, The Balvenie, The Botanist, The Dalmore, and many more came together for the occasion to offer a variety of activities and tasting shots for the guests. The event also saw a spectacular line-up of entertainment ranging from local DJ and music producer, DJ Cuurley, guest DJ Jodie, percussionist Calvin Clarke, saxophonist Eizaz, supported by resident DJs Shaun Ellis and The Choobs.
“At WIP, we’re always experimenting and finding small but meaningful ways to elevate the customer experience. So, as we welcomed our tenth year in the industry, we saw an opportunity to go a step further by revamping the outlet and introducing new and exciting items to the menu. We’re thrilled to be evolving into this new stage of WIP and look forward to many more years of great times and innovation with the brand,” commented Brian Choo, Executive Director of the SOUL Society Group.
Located at the prestigious Bangsar Shopping Centre, WIP has been an international lifestyle destination for its patrons for the past decade, offering a cosy and relaxed ambience throughout the week, and transforming into a high-energy, vibrant night-spot for weekends. Now with its refreshed look, WIP brings some added joie de vivre to the brand with a refreshed menu catered to its discerning clientele.
In keeping with the Northern Mediterranean influences in the menu, WIP’s new menu carries delectable dishes such as Ambrosia Salad, Aged Baby Tomahawk, Greek Lamb Pizza, Moroccan Lamb Stew, Vietnamese Crab Noodles and much more. With the advent of craft spirits in Malaysia, WIP has also brought in some unique labels for the informed drinkers looking to explore beyond the usual repertoire of available spirits, some of which have been incorporated into new cocktails to complement the new menu.
WIP continues to be the ideal place to unwind after a hard day’s work, or even to just catch up with friends that offers personable service and a place for memorable experiences. For more information on WIP and its latest offerings, visit the WIP Facebook page: http://fb.com/wip.kl
